About Honey From The Hill
Our story began in 2021, as a hobby that just got out of hand!
We had a friend who had tried to persuade us to get into beekeeping. We finally relented and undertook a beekeeping course with local beekeepers.
We started with just two hives on our allotment and spent many an hour watching them flying around and walking over the frames.
Becoming mesmerised watching a new bee “being born” and thinking “Why had we waited so long to start this journey?”
The following year, we expanded to have three hives, which produced a small crop of honey that we proudly sold to family, friends and work colleagues.
This was the year Honey from the Hill was born.
We are now into our fifth year and have expanded to a large number of hives and multiple apiaries in the Ramsbottom and Bury area.
Ethical Values
We care deeply about sustainability, the local ecology and a desire to inform and educate the community of the facts you didn’t know about bees.
